Yes, it demists the glass exactly the same as if it had no film.
Frequently Asked Questions
When you tint the windows of a vehicle, does the rear heated window still work?
When a vehicle’s windows are tinted, are the glass panes replaced with darker ones?
No, never, they are always the same crystals that the vehicle has, they are simply placed a solar heat shrink film that is attached to the inside of the glass.
Once the solar laminate is installed, does it scratch, peel or discolor over time?
No, because our solar laminates have an outer “anti-scratch” layer that protects the film from possible scratches.
In addition Autolamina is so sure of the quality of its solar laminate and its installations that gives you the guarantee “in writing” and for life.
How long does it take to tint the windows of a vehicle?
It depends, usually about 2 hours, the time depends on the type of vehicle. (2p / 3p / 4p / 5p / mono volume, all terrain, etc.).
Does it look good at night with tinted rear windows?
Yes, it is normal that the first days after tinting the windows of a vehicle, we feel strange when we look back, as if we lack light.
But this is only for the first few days, until you get used to it, because if the solar film would prevent visibility to the human eye for driving, people would not wear it and it would not be homologated either.
All solar laminates, before being marketed, undergo a series of tests in a laboratory, which are the ones that determine whether the laminate could be harmful to driving or not.
In any case, at autolamina we have a range of colors, different shades and types of darkening to suit the needs of each customer.
Do I have to pass the ITV when I have my vehicle’s windows tinted?
Currently no, previously yes, because tinting the windows was considered a major reform of the vehicle and was contemplated by law, having to pass the ITV on purpose to be included and sealed in the technical data sheet of the vehicle.
Currently, Autolamina has direct certification from the Ministry of Industry to sell and install solar laminate in any kind of vehicle, issuing its corresponding approval numbered, sealed and guaranteed by the company.
Do I have to disassemble the windows or door panels of my vehicle to tint my windows with the risk of breaking something?
In autolamina thanks to the technology and experience of our installers, we can install our solar film in the vehicle, without disassembling absolutely nothing, because we have exact templates and cut to size for each make and model of vehicle.
Can the window tinting be removed so that the vehicle’s glass remains as it was before?
Yes, always except for rear heated rear windows, which is not advisable, as there is a risk that when the already installed solar film is peeled off, the thermal filaments of the rear window are also peeled off.
Autolamina always uses a type of film, which in the future allows you to remove it from all the windows without any risk for the rear heated rear window.
Are there several methods for tinting vehicle glass?
Normally in Spain, an approved window tinting has always been done with adhesive thermo retractable solar film, it is also true that there are new vehicles that if you ask for it as an extra they give you the option to tint them from the factory, which in this case is not solar film what they put, but they do it with a special oven when they manufacture the glass.
The disadvantage of this system apart from being more expensive as an extra at the time of purchase, is that the windows of the vehicle are not as dark as with the solar film, do not have sunscreen and ultimately does not have all the properties that has a vehicle tinted with solar film, we will not serve for anything more than to make it look nice, besides being more expensive.
